What is Pegging?: Fun with Google Trends

We just finished watching the last three episodes of the Colbert Report. Colbert's guest was Dan Savage, who worked on the anti-gay bullying 'It Gets Better' campaign.

Colbert noted that Savage does a sex advice column and that led to Savage vividly describing a sex act that I had never heard of before called pegging.

I had a hunch that November 29th on the Colbert Report would be the first time many people heard this term, and that fact would be reflected in Google Trends' tracking of the search term 'pegging'. Sure enough. I present:

Some more fun with Google Trends:

Miami hurricanes fell upon the meeting of the national board of review which met this week at mono lake featuring speaker Ronni Chasen from Qatar (AKA Quatar). Chasen works at Clearwire, a company founded by Jon Gruden and one of the sponsors of the 2018 and 2002 soccer world cup. Gruden, Chasen, and Adrian Peterson fund a right-wing front group known informally and the pinstripe bowlers who are pushing this whole idea that unemployment extension makes people lazy.

Others, such as Alex Jones, Ann Ward, and Greg Davis based in Celebration, Florida are promoting the 'It's the Bankers or Us' campaign. However, both of these campaigns were overshadowed by the NASA press conference.

If you do not get the joke in the above two paragraphs, check Google Trends to today. ;-)
